USMC Lt. Col. Fred Schenk was at the controls of F-35B BF-1, the first short takeoff/vertical landing test aircraft, for its 200th flight. The flight took place at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division test flight facility at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland.
