The first of two C-130J Super Hercules transports for the Tunisian Air Force, known formally as Al Quwwat al-Jawwiya At'Tunisia,is towed out after being painted at the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, on 12 December 2012. This extended fuselage length C-130J will be delivered later this year. Tunisia’s current Hercules fleet, flown by 21 Squadron at Bizerte-Sidi Ahmed, consists of two C-130Hs first purchased in the mid-1980s, and five ex-US Air Force C-130Bs that were delivered in the early 1990s. The new C-130Js will be flown in support of Tunisian relief efforts around the world, firefighting, and traditional airlift sorties.
