A cadre of C-130H aircrew and maintainers from the 401st Airlift Squadron at Komaki AB, Japan, arrived in the US on 6 December to undergo training at the Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center, or AATTC, at Rosecrans ANGB, in St. Joseph, Missouri. The Japanese aircrew members are going through the two-week Combat Aircrew Tactics Studies course at AATTC, which combines classroom instruction and flying. AATTC officials work with the office of the US Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs to offer the course to international students, who pay tuition to attend. A Dutch C-130 crew is also taking the course.
