An F-16 Fighting Falcon pilot from the 187th Fighter Wing, the Alabama Air National Guard unit in Montgomery, flies a training sortie over Nevada during the Green Flag West 13-2 exercise on 4 November 2012. This training, previously known as an Air Warrior exercise, has become the US Air Force's premier pre-deployment exercises for Air Combat Command units that perform close air support and precision guided munition delivery missions. Green Flag West is held at Nellis AFB, Nevada, and Green Flag East is held at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. The electronic combat training previously known as Green Flag is now a part of the larger Red Flag air warfare training exercises.
