US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) and Airmen from the 317th Airlift Group cut the ribbon during the official grand opening of the new two-bay hangar at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, on 5 September 2012. The new 57,000-square-foot facility includes firewall separation between the two bays and appropriate ventilation systems to accommodate both a C-130J Super Hercules transport and a B-1 Lancer bomber, the base’s other assigned aircraft, at the same time.
