Support personnel for the US Navy flight demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels, arrive in New Orleans on 19 April 2012 for the start of the War of 1812 Bicentennial Commemoration events. The all-Marine crew of Fat Albert is flying a borrowed Marine KC-130T while their show aircraft is in depot maintenance. The team’s assigned blue-white-and-gold C-130 is expected to return to duty by the middle of this summer’s airshow season. The War of 1812 Commemoration is a three-year remembrance of the War of 1812 and the writing of the Star Spangled Banner.
