The sixth and final C-130J Super Hercules currently on order for India was flown from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, en route to AFS Hindon, near Delhi, India, on 15 December 2011. The Indian C-130Js are equipped with an infrared detection set to allow precision low-level flying, airdrops, and landing in blackout conditions. Both the radome-mounted infrared sensor turret and the removable air-to-air refueling probe were installed for the ferry flight. This aircraft, purchased by India under the US Foreign Military Sales program was delivered ahead of schedule.
