A crew in a Lockheed P2V Neptune maritime patrol aircraft converted into a commercial firefighting aircraft drops retardant behind Laguna Peak at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, California, on 2 May 2013. The Springs Fire, which charred more than 10,000 acres, approached the Navy facility, located along the Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County before being brought under control.
