The fourteenth MC-130J Commando II Special Operations airlifter was delivered from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, to the 522nd Special Operations Squadron at Cannon AFB, New Mexico, on 9 January 2013. The aircraft (Air Force serial number 09-5713) is one of twenty-seven MC-130Js currently on order for US Air Force Special Operations Command. The Commando II is flown on in-flight refueling, infiltration/exfiltration, aerial delivery, and resupply of special operations forces missions. MC-130Js are also based at the Air Force Special Operations schoolhouse at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.
