The 100th F-35 Lightning II is shown on the assembly line at the Lockheed Martin facility in Fort Worth, Texas, on 30 January 2013. Mechanics are shown in the final phase of building the wings that will be installed on the forty-first F-35A conventional takeoff and landing variant to come down the line. The aircraft will be delivered to the US Air Force and is scheduled for delivery to Luke AFB, Arizona, later this year where it will be used for pilot training. A total of eighty-eight F-35A/B/C aircraft are in various stages of assembly in Fort Worth, at the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, and at supplier locations around the world.
