The 61st Airlift Squadron at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas, received its eighth C-130J Super Hercules airlifter on 21 August 2014. The aircraft (Air Force serial number 11-5752) was flown from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, to Little Rock by Brig. Gen. Brian Robinson, vice commander, 618th Air and Space Operations Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center) at Scott AFB, Illinois. The 61st AS, which has operated C-130s since 1956, is part of Air Mobility Command's 19th Airlift Wing. The squadron is an active duty C-130J combat delivery unit.
