A retired Royal Australian Air Force F-111C deep strike aircraft was delivered to the Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on 4 September 2013. This aircraft (RAAF serial number A8-130) is one of seven F-111s released to civilian institutions and is the only airframe being gifted outright. It is also the only F-111—known affectionately as ‘Pig’ to RAAF crews—that will be displayed outside Australia. The aircraft arrived at Hickam Airfield in three shipments, and the fuselage was towed across the Ford Island Bridge during the early morning of 5 September. RAAF technicians later reassembled the aircraft on site at the museum.
