The last four F-22 Raptors from the 7th Fighter Squadron at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, were flown to Tyndall AFB, Florida, on 8 April 2014. The transfers began on 6 January 2014 and a total of twenty-four F-22s were flown to Florida. At Tyndall, the aircraft will be assigned to the reactivated active duty 95th FS and the F-22s will also be flown by the 301st FS, the Air Force Reserve Command Associate unit formerly based at Holloman. Including the aircraft assigned to the 43rd FS, the F-22 training squadron, more than fifty Raptors are now based at Tyndall. The 54th Fighter Group was recently activated at Holloman as an F-16 pilot and maintainer training unit.
